When I release a alpha version it allows me to get feedback from the public and to make major improvements from their comments, so the term "alpha version" lets the public know that there could be major improvements in the skin but still with the same "general" look.
When I release a beta version it allows me to fix any minor bugs and to "polish" it up for a final release.
It is the same basic standards of a "software" release.
Also when the public see's alpha or beta they expect improvements or bug fixes with the skin, which I think is a good thing.

btw, xpfreak, the skin's not too bad.. *s*. it still has a slight xp feel to it, but it's so different at the same time.

I like it a lot. The colours are very suiting, the green is original, the gradients are smooth, I don't know what to say.. It's nearly perfect. Maybe the top right buttons could be a little different, I really don't like the windows look.
Otherwise, it looks great. I can't wait for the final release. Overall, great, original, no bugs, and really sweet.
