I found the problem. What does this file do "Blackcomb.uis_ToolBarBackground.WBD" I was unable to edit the file because its data type is Binary, but before I found the following in my Registry:
"BackBitmap"="C:\\Program Files\\Object Desktop\\WindowBlinds\\Blackcomb\\background.bmp"
"BackBitmapIE5"="C:\\Program Files\\Object Desktop\\WindowBlinds\\Blackcomb\\background.bmp" I have gone ahead and removed them and now everything is all good..

Heh. And I was just about to suggest that (although I didn't have much confidence about it). <g>

OK, well not sure how that happened (perhaps WB didn't remove the skin completely on unload) but it's great that it's solved!

For all those running non-XP versions of Windows, there is now an Blackcomb ObjectBar skin at https://www.wincustomize.com/skins.asp?library=4&SkinID=141 - enjoy!

Yummy stuff! Finally, a WB with some color (but subtle color) rather than white with a little titlebar coloration!
Any more skins on the way?

Well, there are some Docking Station logons out just today that you can get from my skin page (https://www.wincustomize.com/myskins.asp?AuthorID=2172). As for skins, nothing right now - I've been busy.

Only on ODNT as of this moment. However a new version will be out shortly (should be within the week) for registered users, and possibly for trial users as well.

Well.... look at what we have here. I have been waiting a long time for this update. Not that I was expecting a update but... Well it is good to have one.

And I do notice the difference with UIS1. How come more designer do not use it?

Because UIS2 is more flexible? Because most other skins use it ? Because it came first? Who can say . . . but it is getting more popular, and rightly so.

While I also notice the difference between UIS1 and UIS2, I'm still using UIS2 because of a small bug between UIS1 and state transitions in WFX 1.90h. Using the UIS1 skin leaves the window frame on the desktop after the window is minimized. The titlebar buttons even continue to work

I've found this on all the UIS1 skins I've tried so far. Of course, it may just do that on my system, but you never know

I've posted details on the windowfx newgroup.

Really like Blackcomb. However, I am still getting white on white in Powerpoint 2002 Outline tab list. iefix.reg didn't fix it, though IE Explorer runs great. I am running WB 3.31o. Can this be fixed?? Thanks! --Larry Johanen

Unfortunately I don't have PPT 2002, so I can't duplicate your problem. Does switching to the UIS2 version help? Are you using the dark or light version? I suspect the MS programmers have used the wrong colours - unfortunately there's not anything you or I can do about that, other than set the window background or button foreground colours differently.

the UIS 2 version (haven't checked UIS 1) is not happy if the taskbar is doubleheight and locked. There is a small strip at the bottom of the taskbar which is transparent.

This is a complete UIS1 skin - thanks to all who made it happen. There are very few UIS1 skins that actually work & don't bleed over each other. Thanks for all the effort that went into this!

Jim: Thanks! It's true - no way I could have put this skin together without the concept and initial graphics from Michael and other graphics (like the lovely start panel) from AJ. Skinning can really work well when you do it as a team.

Salvador: Strange. I'm not seeing this. Could you email me a picture at greenreaper@hotmail.com along with your system specs and any other info you think might be relevant? If it affects UIS2 it should affect UIS1 as they use the same taskbar and panel.

TheGreenReaper--
Here are the variations of BlackComb and MSPowerPoint2002 and MSWord 2002 interactions:
BlackComb UIS1 & UIS2: PP has white on white. Word has white(or very light greay) page background in Page View.
BlackComb Dark UIS1 & UIS2: PP has revers white text on dark blue background. Word has dark blue page background with reverse white text in Page View.
This is a major problem in Word, as PageView does not accurately represent colors as will be printed...WYSIWYG and all that.

Again, Thanks for the good work. Hope you can figure out fixes to the above MS glitches. Regards, --Larry
