I know your icons are Dent but where did you download them? or did you make them yourself?

Depends which icons you're talking about. The ones on IE I made myself. As for title buttons being backards on IE: The skin on IE only changes when you close all instances and open it again - this applies to sub-skins too.

Jed: I've used the skin on W98 without problems although the task bar and start menu aren't skinned in the same way as with XP. If you have Object Bar you should be able to get the XP stuff to work.

My goodness...this is the first comment I've made on anything and you've certainly earned it! Not like my comments are very valuable in the first place, just expressing what I think of this great skin!

I love this one too even more than the original NG. Many thanks for bringing to us.

Being a bit of a perfectionist, Id like to add some minor critique and suggestions for improvements:

1. Could we make the IE status bar the same metallic-brush-style as the title bar.

2. Can we make the start-menu a bit more outstanding? Something that would attract a new or novice user to want to click?

3. The right edge of drop-down-combo boxes seems to have a slight white border protruding. Not sure if this was intentional. No biggie though.

4. On Scrollbars, if you click and hold down the mouse in the scroll track (not on the blue scroller itself) youll see the some blue corners appear at the edges of the control.

Looking forward to the next update?

Audleyg:

1. At first I thought that making the status bar work as a brushed texture would be hard, so I left it NG style (its to do with resizing and borders), now I think I can make it work.

2. Start Menu's give me nightmares. I though the one I did was pretty good

3. The way that WB skins combo boxes is a little odd + there seems to be a bug when using transparencies on both the button and the text box that makes it impossible for me to make the background texture show throw. It could probably be made less obvious though (FYI, the white edge you are seeing is actually part of the text input field definition!).

4. I was wondering if anyone would pull me up on the scrollbar. Now someone has, I'll fix it.

Don't hold your breath though. I'm kinda busy now.

Sig, What I mean is the scroll bars on Windows 98? It looks like an ugly one. I think this supports only some XP features. And this skin is in WindowBlinds XP on DevianArt.

jed: Sounds like you have the shareware version of WindowBlinds. The scrollbars are the same on XP and 98 (except for IE, the scrollbars on IE can only be skinned under XP).

Very nice. Been looking for a skin like this for some time. Only complaint is that Word 2002 locks up when I launch it with this skin. I know I could exclude it from skinning, but would prefer not to. Anybody else have this problem?

I really like this and have been using it most of the week.

However, if I could offer a couple of suggestions:

1. After a while the bright blue "Aqua" elements start to look harsh and out of place. Might I suggest something a little more restrained, like a pale gold or faded blue-green?

2. The brushed metal comes off a little bluish. If you could add a hint of oxidation (rusty tone) it would look more like stainless steel.

IN acdtive toolbar buttons in the skin browser show up as black for some reason. Otherwise, it's really good.

Thanks for the update Judge, but I'm afraid I still have the same problem as before that fracture_x also had. MS Word keeps restarting itself when I apply this skin. Other than that great skin.

still having a xp startmenu problem.

everything else is looking really crisp and clean, nice job!

my only beef is the start button, the start text is just, well out of place. Perhaps if it was in the same style as iSkin logo?

Since I installed this skin I don't know how to behave, it's GREAT!

A minor problem in the start menu, the bottom icon overlaps a bit otherwise
no problem at all!
