at the top of the download page click on the "WindowBlinds Website" link for more information and to download the program that can utilise this skin - it's free to try...

This is by far the best theme out there. I am very impressed with the simplicity and design of this theme....I have all of it and the only thing that doesnt seem to work is Icon Packager....it seems to freeze up the screen when I try to use it....otherwise everything else works great.

PS Is there going to be a screensaver for this...I think it would really complete the theme.

Feel free to send an email my way.

Thankyou CelticDragon, glad you like the simplicity, that was one of the goals when I was creating it.

I am not sure why the Icon Package doesnt workfor you. You could try installing it manually. To do this, rename the GT2.ip file to GT2.zip, unzip this into a folder called GT2 and drop it into your IconPackager themes subfolder...it should then show up in the IconPackager program. Maybe. Worth a go anyway

I've been using this for awhile now and today, with all the talks about ratings and stuff, I started thinking about the skins I use. This one definitly deserves a rerate on my part, since I have found not a single flaw.

One of the finest suites in design and quality I have seen or used. However, I am running a res of 1920 x 1200 (DELL Inspiron 8500) and need to make adjustments. I have fitted the wallpaper properly but all the text is extremely small and difficult to read on the dark background.

Is there any chance of (easliy) revamping for the higher resolution?

Many thanx for giving me the opportunity to use this wonderful work of ART!

Thx Ziou.

Thx GM, I found quite a few flaws actually, which is why it's getting a spruce up very shortly

Larry - I know, it's a dark skin, and I concede that on the larger monitor's the text may become rather tiny. I myself use 1280x960, but I believe the average person has a 1024x768, and so I can't really design it with the larger resolutions at the forefront of my mind. However there are a number of things you might try.
You could try opening up the skin in Skinstudio available from Stardock, the same guys who make Windowblinds, and adjust the font settings in there. There is an entire section devoted to fonts and you could have a play, increasing their size by a few points. Remember, if it all goes hideously wrong you can always reinstall the skin and no harm done. Another thing you can try is going into the Windowblinds configuration menu and adjusting the gamma level of the skin as a whole. I have experimented with that myself and it is possible to lighten up the entire skin a few notches whilst still retaining the design integrity and so on, increasing the contrast between the background and the text.
Let me know how you get on
If it's all a bit too small for you now, you're not going to like the compact start menu substyle that this skin is getting very shortly

It might just be me but this updating isn't jiving. I have real GT2 "skin." When I load the skin, it reverts back to the standard Windows gui with dark colors (like the colors of your GT2 skin). Do I need to uninstall my old one and then re-install the new one? On a positive note, GT2 is such an incredible suite. Thanks so much for all your hard work.

Larry, if you open your windows display properties, click on the appearance tab, and then poke the "advanced" button there are all kinds of font overrides. You can adjust it easily there...

***BOUNCES*** for GM
RockinMike - sorry to hear that. I just double checked the skin in skinstudio and everything that utilises magic pink in the start menu definitely has the transparency box checked. Could you email me a screenshot of what you are seeing?

goodmorphing, the Window Display Properties was as excellent idea. Not only can you change the font characteristics, but also the colors of the window backgrounds, title bars, etc. I was so discouraged since I felt this theme very well done and professional. I use AutoCAD Architectural Desktop several hours each day, and with many, many toolbars, I found my nose to the screen trying to see the icons and read the text.

Again, many thanks and I am forever grateful!!!
