Hi DD....It's not easy making your first skin, but there are many good resources out there to help you along the way. Just from a functional point of view, there are a few elements that haven't been skinned, fonts still need to be set and margins need to be worked on. SkinStudio is a pretty complex program, though it doesn't appear to be so on the surface. This site http://www.aleksyandr.com/ has a very good tutorial on using it. The concept of an all chrome skin is a good one, but I would try to create your own graphics rather than just using a graphics program's effect on the existing Luna XP graphics.

Too much like looking at polished chrome - hard on the eyes without sunglasses.

Hmm... A whole helluva lot better'n I can do... I don't have the patience to make all those little images and write all the code (even with SkinStudio's help). However, you seriously need to trash that wall. I suggest you also find some high-end shredder program to destroy it even further. It's absolutely awful (then again, I don't exactly like any tiled walls.
