The transparency at the top of the start menu is necessary in order to line up the user name properly. Personally, I'm not a big fan of compact start menus.

Jennebee, just to clarify, R. Peter Clark made the original Winamp and Rainlendar skins. I merely ported it to WindowBlinds (as I stated twice in my description).

THe magic pink on the top of the start menu doesn't need to be there though, so if you use the taskbar at the top it makes a large gap between the menu and bar.
Fixed that and also added a compact startmenu which looks really good with this theme
