To be able to hear the button sounds, you first must have your system sound enabled. (check your sound settings in the control panel). Then, in Windowblinds config dialog, make sure "use skin sounds (if any)" is checked. This is under "basic settings".
To disable the user pic, also in the WB config dialog box under "user overrides", uncheck
"show user icon in start panel". Hope that helps.

1)sounds
2)start bar and user panel
3)the overall color scheme
Things I do not care for:
1)I agree on the text thing..
why not white and a little more bold? The font is too hard to read with that background.
2)The cheers on the sliders look too busy. I think the ice look from the borders of the windows would work much better.
Overall, I like it but as it is, it is not enough to use it over Christmas Time.
