Its good work, but why would I want to make my pc look like something that was really BAD when it was out?
Sorry

Anyhoo, I don't dig it not because it's bad, but because it isn't nostalgia for me. Back in the Win 3.1 days I was avoiding Windows by first using DesqView/386 and then OS/2 Warp 3.0.. It took the failure of my first attempt at a usable Linux system and significant forays of Windows 95 (and OSR2 release) before I finally went the darkened path. If IBM hadn't dropped consumer support of OS/2, I'd probably still be using it today. OS/2 was just so much more stable and fast than those early windows versions.

Yes! Exactly what I needed!
So retro and classic looking , it almost makes me want to get out Windows 3.11 and install it on a newer computer just for the heck of it!

As to installing Windows 3.11 - I installed in on a Virtual PC and it's incredible. Everything is instantaneous! The system starts within a second and that's within the virtual machine. Now imagine a good modern machine running it... Now if only there was any software still available for it
Funny thing though. I managed to get a few GPS'es without even installing a single thing. Perhaps it's not such a good idea after all?
Yeah, better simply enjoy the skin and skip the trauma.
