'Fairyy~' - I've never attempted to make a compact start menu so if you could share your tips, tricks & advice I would be forever in your debt.
Thanks again.
Jay.

Open wb config ..highlight the skin you want to edit ...click on " edit in skin studio "
When the skin comes up in the preview ..to the left of the preview click once on " Xp Taskbar " Then in preview tap the " start panel User Pane " Now..to the right of preview where it says " Attributes " highlight the line " Size of the user pane " Below preview image you should see the Values in the silver banded area. Your going to change the " Width " normally I start off by trying 250 but on your blind that was too small ..i used the figure of 276 ...then go up top to " File " Save as " then name it Neon xp-Comp ..hit ok ....then shut wb config..reopen and apply the Compact and see how it looks. If its not small enough or still to large just go change number again..but just hit " save " then apply blind again and check. Hopefully these directions made some sense. Im not good at explaining.

It all makes sense & I understood everything ! !! ( I only had to read it once as well )
I've got a funny feeling my next skin might just have a compact start menu.
Thanks again for your feedback & advice.

I've always used XP pro & never had any of the problems you've stated above.
Every once & a while the tansparency fails but all I do is re-boot the PC in it seems to fix itself.
Maybe they can find you answers in the wincustomize 'Support' forum. These guys are normaly pretty hot on fixes & bugs,
Sorry I couldn't help more.
