A question--how come the toolbar region of MS Office 2003 applications is so much brighter than any other applications? Generally, the toolbar area gets grayed to 132 degrees each of R, G, and B components. But in MS Word 2003, they read at 235 each, making it look like a different skin altogether.

Works real good. Very well done for a first skin. It colorizes well too.
As a suggestion...when you have time, skin the explorer buttons and the menu buttons. In order to be complete you really need to have those skinned. It would be nice also to skin the More Programs button but even some of the top skinners skip that one.

Nice colors not too harsh on the eyes or bright. I really like your bars, not a fan of the large 'bubble' bars everyones been making lately but I don't like the minimalist look either. Those have eye interest without being over bulky. Nice Starwars theme.

Nice first skin. One more recommendation . . . because of a large number of Quicklaunch icons, I like my bottom bar double width. When I drag yours to that size, it is two-toned with the bottom part being a sort of transparent black. Doesn't look good! Keep up the good work and be encouraged!!!

If this is a first skin, it is very well done. If not, it could use some work, I suggest you move the taskbar...tasks? a little down. It seems like its clipping the top. But thats it, you have my download!

Dear Jonep, I recently dowloaded Red Rebel wb5 and Vistique Cristal, both ahow screen shots with the START window and a few windows coming off it with translucent backgrounds. I am only getting the START window with a translucent background. All the rest have opaque backgrounds. I'd like to see them all with opaque backgrounds and even be able to control each window's background properties. Can I fix this in the free version of Skin Studio 4.6.0 ?? or is there another way of tweaking this.

Stuart as the images are tga's if you unselect transparancy and translucent the images will show the black areas around the corners, you will have to edit the images in photoshop or some other graphics program and change them to bmp format then replace the original in skin studio, you will also have to use 'magic pink' to replace the black to round off the corners. Does this help? if not leave your email and I will make the images for you.

Dear Jonep--
Thanks for your prompt reply regarding my transparency question. I saw in skin studio you are using this file when I clicked on the preview backround: wb5\1StartPanelPlacesList.tga
This allows transp and transl boxes to be checked and is producing an excellent translucency when clicking START. I tried copying this attribute for use in an active window but could not get the transp/trans buttons to work. If the .tga is working for the "Taskbar" how can I get it to work as a transp for all windows? I don't think it is a problem with the image format. If you still think the images are a problem, you can send the images to my email is stuhak@netscape.net Is this a common problem others are having with the trasp effect as far as only getting the XPTaskbar window becoming transparent?
Thanks in advance for all your kind help.
Stuart

Sorry Stuart I think wires got crossed you need to be Running windowblinds 5 to have translucent window borders as in the screenshot, this will not work in the ealier windowblinds 4
I'd like to see them all with opaque backgrounds
this program is only available to Object Desktop owners at the moment but will be released on 29 november the link below will give you more information.
