I think this is a great start, I myself have been working to release a first skin and am looking forward to CONSTRUCTIVE Critism, rather than insults. These things are not easy to build, especially for the first time. stick with it 92, you got a good start there.

That magic pink is a hard one to master...I am still struggling with it at times.
Here's some of the best advice I have recieved - skin everything! Be Patient, don't rush to put something out there until it's something you feel is your best effort. Don't pay attention to ratings. Pay attention to all the criticisms, but don't take then personally. Insead use them to your advantage so you don't make the same mistakes in your next blind. Above all...keep skining fun!

i think you did a good job for a first try
now some constructive criticism.
one thing you can do is not use magic pink in parts of the skin that do not need it
like the start panel userpane, more programs arrow and system buttons.
creat a transparent bacground the same size as the original image in photoshop.
use the original image as a template like more programs arrow for spacing.
use the options window on the right side of the preview there you will find
all the options like the translucency switch. if you don't see it there click the more and add
the attribute.
then you have to go under the preview and check the transparent and translucent box's
on the bottom left.
the best advice i can give you is study others skins check there settings in the options window.
and as boopish said take your time and have fun doing it.
if you find this helpfull please email me with any questions you have i will be happy to help.

keep this in mind; it takes months to create a good/useable skin. if it doesn't look right to you, it won't look right to anyone else. problem solve these issues and ask questions. other authors are always willing to help. make sure you take the time to "finish" these skins. i've downloaded and tested your work and to be honest, they feel unfinished and rushed. there is no hurry and no timetable to release your project. do yourself justice and make these as cool as possible.
