It takes a little finagling but it is possible to keep the right end from running off the end of the menu. |
You saying the right end of the highlight for the menu is stretching beyond the menu boundary?
As far as the top and bottom mouseover, I have not seen an example of these in the skins I've opened in SKS, so I have no idea what I would want to create for those images. Any suggestions, or skins with these?
And thanks alot for your comments, Lantec. Helps for the next version.

The toolbar icons went screwy. When I first loaded the skin they were different than what you show in the screenshot. They changed to the default icons after reapplying. I am not sure why. I will continue to investigate. It probaly has something to do with the ~ used in the skin name but not sure.
What version of Skinstudio are you using?

Thanks for everyone's comments. Truly appreciated, I'm gleaming.
SKS=latest beta. It was taking forever because of all the twitches, same as NT was describing in his thread.
I did all the graphics almost pixel-by-pixel, looking at all those neat ones everyone makes with alpha-channel. I started with the "all programs" arrow. I find this the hardest part of the skin, dunno why.
Thanks all. Please enjoy! (gleaming)

-I haven't made any Toolbar Icons for this yet |
That explains it. When I loaded the skin, Wb must have farted and installed some icons I had never seen before. They may have been a cross between another set of icons and the default ones. It was ugly. After a reapply all was good.

Thanks, NT, dj, ginger-gaz and everyone else. I am glad it is recieving as well as it is. I thought I might not get a good reception. While I am messing with ideas for pp borders and all, I have 3 ideas for new skins. I might be a little busy... I was afaid the ani-buttons would not go over well on other monitors, mine doesn't come with drivers or color config, so it's off a little.
Happy Skinning!!

The Minimize animation and glow both work for me. I don't really understand what you mean: |
This issue went away with a reboot. Thought it might be on my end.
You saying the right end of the highlight for the menu is stretching beyond the menu boundary? |
Yes, on the More Programs menus the right end on the mouse over does not close. The two lines run right up to the edge of the background. There's no vertical line at that end (at least on my machine).
Any suggestions, or skins with these? |
Maybe a half dozen pixels (vert) same color as the background to balance the spacing at the top and bottom of the menu.
Keep in mind I'm not meaning to be critical. I really like the skin. You ask for input, and I only saw a few items to comment on.

I believe I'll keep an eye out for any flying pigs.

Mine will not be red.
In fact, I plan on building a per-pixel version of this one, then something with bricks. Maybe bricks. I had a dream... I know it's bad when you dream about skinning.

Yes, this made itself apparent to me after two reboots. I had to delete my original, install the one I uploaded and reboot to see the menu outline. I do see what you mean and there's a fix scheduled for upload tonight, after work.
BTW, thanks Lantec. I do appreciate the observations. Happy skinning!!
