I really like this one. I think that with some improvement with text contrast in places such as the test in the taskbar it could be a 5 star skin. Like badblueboy said, it makes my eyes hurt a bit and I think it's due to contrast issues.

Very well done. I can only dream of having this kind of talent. I look forward to more of your work.

This is amazing work for your first WB. My first, second, third and many more have hit the recycle bin before ever seeing the light of day. You really did a killer job, and it's very unique without being wierd, ya know? I love it.

Great job on this skin... I just one suggestion... The Taskbar when something becomes active in the background like instant messenger for instanct it flashes a hot pink color which really bothers the eye's if you could make that a light blue that would make the skin in my eyes a huge hit.

Can't wait to see more of your work in the future...

FANTASTIC!!!

Everything looks amazing. The start button is a bit ugly, the color. Everything else is great though!
Awsome job!

As far as I'm concerned this is one excellent skin. I really like the uniqueness of it's style I can't believe it's your first. I would expect something like this from one of the master skinners we have around here.

------ Welp --- There are so many things going for this skin it's hard to start tearing into it. First, I think it's going to be quite awhile before someone comes up with a newer and fresher design than you have. The curves and shadows are quite unique and along with the color choice (which I favor - dark, sort of) combine a flowing movement of what 'today's' skin is becoming. Sharp 90 deg. corners are now a flowing integral part of a continuous line outlying a complete theme. The new design in arrows and X's are an excellent compliment. The only fault that I could see is that the contrast between 'On' and 'Off' is hard to make out in the check box area.VG Job - -

Thanks a lot to all of you!!!

Your comments are really helpful, I'm working on improvements already - the flashing taskbar group button isn't pink any more, the start button changed and I'm working on the text contrast - the only thing that's bothering me...
I cant't really figure out, which fonts in SkinStudio are used for what purpose - it's a lot of trying and shear luck. I guess there'll be a small update soon, then I'll try to find out how to do the animations...

Hey, great first job. I like the creativity.
And I'm also just learning how to use SkinStudio, but I think the fonts are set for the different elements (titlebars, buttons, taskbar, etc...) So in skin studio you can select different font presets or custom preset fonts for those elements.
I think I know what I'm talking about.
Trial and error....you gota love it.

Hi - thanks a lot again!!

Unfortunately the PREVIEW IMAGE wasn't updated for some reason...
See here for a better view:

@ kooldaddy: The ObjectDock skin ("Glass Bars") can be found at my deviantArt page:
http://spider4webdesign.deviantart.com/gallery/

@ patrick24: I only can reply the compliments!!
My problem with the fonts is, that not all of them are specified in SkinStudio. Some elements just use the preset fonts 01-09 or so, but do not tell which -
For example the fonts used in the taskbar (not the ones for the tasks): I had to change the preset fonts to find out which one is used for the "My documents"-link on the bar... Maybe there's some documentation somewhere, but most of it (for wb5) is in some articles all over wincustomize.

Awesome work!!

How did you get the bar at the bottom? I am using ObjectDock but can't work out how to get it above the task bar.
