1.) In a maximized window, there is a dead space of about 1-2 pixels that needs to be filled.
2.) Per-pixel blending on the rounded corners would help.
3.) Instead of glowing buttons as suggested earlier, have you considered making the actual icon(s) IN the buttons glow? That's something I have not seen done well, yet.
4.) You may also want to consider including a sub-style that has a smaller Start button. Just for people who still like the "traditional" XP style for Windows.
5.) Consider people who also prefer having the Taskbar arranged at the sides (vertically). There are few, on average, but they MUST be taken into account.
So far, this skin is rating VERY high on my list of faves. I can't wait to see the idea pushed to its full potential!

Although it's a nice touch to see the logoff, shutdown buttons where they are, they don't work in that position when I apply the skin. I see that you have done almost all the classic colors (you missed the scrollbar background...unless that was intentional )

However, like others...it was the Parse error when opening the Control Panel that killed it. Quite a few good "Vista like" skins have had this same issue...wonder why?
