Got it to work by right click open. Then go back to install it again and right click Open With> Windowblinds. Hope this works for others.
By the way ALEX nice skin. Going to have to come up with a wall now to match. Thats my favorite part !

All these different problems with this skin, why doesn't Alex717 just upload a corrected version, save us all a lot of hassle.....

The skin's folder name may be aa6.u. Remove the .u so that the folder's name is aa6

I tried six ways from sunday to get this to load properly....I finally got the classic version to work. Will try again using all the suggestions posted here. Btw, when I looked thru the file folder, there is a nice wall in there.

I just read all the comments and im still baffled why I didnt have a problem. I see others saying the file was aa6.u
So I deleted the windowblind and just downloaded it again . You will see that in Firefox the file is named aa6 only ...it downloaded fast and installed itself without a problem again. So im not sure if explorer is the problem or what? Below is SS of my download dialog in FF. Still worth the trouble to get this though - its grown on me a lot.

I have just a moment ago discovered that you can install the skin with the Theme manager, in there you can find the "A brown night" under the visual styles map and apply it with the theme manager, altough it worked here on my system and i hope it will work for you all too.

If you rename the folder from aa6.u to aa6 and rebuild list, it works fine.

To locate the the folder to change it's name type into IE "c:\program files" (without the quote marks) hit search,scroll till you locate the stardock folder,open it,open object desktop folder,open windowblind folder,change the name of aa6u to aa6, close the window and launch wb utility then hit "rebuild list and voila"
you can do the same as above manually by right cliking on drive C and opening it after unhiding contents,then just open program files,open stardock folder etc

I was having the same problems as others. I followed the suggestions here, and saw that since I had tried installing more than once I had 2 files in the WB folder. One was the correctly named aa6 file, and the other, right below it was aa6.u. I just deleted the aa6.u brought up WB, and reloaded, everything works fine. I did not find the "nice wall" that 'Apprentice boopish' mentioned, but this is a great looking skin. Thanks to all the WB users who posted here, and without whom I would never had been able to use it!

The wallpaper is in the file...open your windowblinds directory, look for the blind aa6, scroll thru until you find the file named aa6DesktopWallpaper. It's a bitmap image - 1407 kb.

Alex...Now that I have this working, I can let you know my opinion of this blind. Congratulations, it is nicely done. You should mention in the description, however, that it doesn't have the WB5 features such as transparent borders etc. You need to skin the vertical taskbar. I know, alot of people don't use it, but some do and your skin will be more complete with it. For me, the start panel and start button are a little large and distracts from an otherwise georgeous skin. The colors,for the most part, are great together and I like your log off dialogues. The only color that isn't so kind to the eyes is the brilliant red on the task panel drop down menu. The text is a little hard to read and the brilliance of the color makes it a little unharmonious.

Love this blind!! Knocking the ".6" off the file folder worked great for making this installable.
