You know, i had one person tell me that before..i wonder..because i dont see it here..on mine.. Do u get the same when you load up my Vectra skin? As it uses the same fonts, if u can load it up and compare, see if it does it too..im sure its on certain machines and im almost certain its the font, but not sure, why.. can u post a screeny, ill try get to the bottom of it |
Sorry to hijack the thread
As requested, here's a couple of screenshoots:
Interestingly enough, I do get the same problem with your oher skin, but it's not so severe - the Drive Icons don't have aren't truncated, for instance.
I've checked my WB Settings, the font size is default and I've left the skin font alone. My screen resolution is 1280*1024 on both my primary and secondary monitor.
I'd love to know why one skin generates the affect and another doesn't

The only down thing is having problems with the font sometimes. I had to make some custom settings in visual studio b/c it complained about the font not being a truetype font.

A strange thing about porting, though, or am I imagining it? VXP looks better to me on StyleXP - the colors somehow look better defined. Maybe that's it, considering the one remaining anomaly: in some dialogs the OK box or one of the other choices drifts back and forth between orange and blue. This only on the Windowblinds incarnation. I'm curious about what might cause such an effect, if anyone knows.

But the oscillating color is definitely there. For instance, if you download the latest version of Opera beta using Opera, the Cancel button during the download oscillates between orange and blue at the rate of approximately once every two seconds. What is that? This is the only Windowblind I am seen similarly affected.

The only thing I would have liked a little better, was the possibility of a transparent programline!
Allthoug!! One of the best!!!

My only complaint so far is Firefox's tab bar. I like the fact that I can clearly see the active and inactive tabs apart, what I don't like though is that the active tab has white border all around it, it looks like a button and the inactive ones like real tabs.
I'm no genious when it comes to editing wb skins, but I can do some graphics editing so a pointer what file to edit and how would probably make this skin even better for my use. (I already tried vxp2TabItemLeftEdge and vxp2TabItemRightEdge.tga
edit: got it, it was vxp2TabItem.tga

I have this issue (see image). I've had it with a few other skins but so far no one has been able to pinpoint why it happens... |
This same thing happens to me as well. Some of NightTrain's skins also do this to me. If we can track down the similarities of this awesome skin and NightTrain's we might be able to weed this problem out. I love this skin, but I just cant use it with the fonts all squished.

Very bright and colourful, but still practical and easy to use...
Thanks a lot for this
