Hi,cycoced

Have you fixed the ClearXp's StartmMenu issues yet ? As I had mentioned on the ClearXp WB skin thread. I haven't use Lena yet,but I found out the "LenaStartMenu.ButtonBackgroundImage.tga" stll has two frame as ClearXp's "CycoBlindsStartMenu.ButtonBackgroundImage.tga". I know it's a minor issue, thus please make it perfect. I always like your art of works. Really appreciated.

Here is the same StartmMenu issues thread, but "patrick24" had fixed all of his works:https://www.wincustomize.com/skins.aspx?skinid=5974&libid=1&p=4

Celine Chuang, update is on its way, I hope it will make you happy! You won't let go, will you?

Don Pietro, If you have SkinStudio, you should be able to tweak the start menu to be non-compact, I'll tell you how if you don't know.

J-Man, Thank you my friend!

And thank you guys for the nice comments! It's always appreciated, obvisously...

Cycoced... i love this skin! I really like the highlighting on the active task bar button- very nice. I wanted you to see an issue, though, that I'm having with the icon names showing up in the start menu. No one else is reporting this so I'm guessing it's only me. I'm surprised the names are even showing up at all since this is compact mode. How can I get rid of this?

FrankEG set icons to large at properties, appearance, effects, this should clear txt problem, did for me. Jim

Actually, mine are set at large in the picture. But, playing with it, it doesn't seem to have any effect on the icons on the right side, only the left. On all other skins in compact mode, I never see text on the right icons. This is so unusual. Must be some registry setting?

Hi there FrankEG, looking at the picture, your start menue icons are set large, but the others are not, what are your desktop icons, the ones on the righthand side of picture look like they are set to 32pix not 48pix. Jim

Jim, thanks for all your help. You were dead on it. Changing the icon size worked. Mine was originally set at 32. I think I see now why I have to keep my icon size at 48 in order for compact mode to work with this skin - it doesn't look like only the icon is being placed there- each icon is set in some kind of an oval structure that is wide enough for a few characters to slip in if the icon size is under 48. My icon size has been 32 for eons so I'm wondering why I've never noticed this behavior before with other skins in compact mode. But, just out of curiosity, do WB users typically keep their icon size this large (48)?

frankEG,

it is the setting, as jim said, under your display control panel. . . you need to have your DESKTOP icons set properly, or maybe it's the font size,?. . . it's one of those, because i've had mine do that before.

. . . sorry, i hadn't read far enough ahead to see that your problem was resolved. . . in any case. . . glad you got it fixed!!

btw, you should download iconpackager. . i think you would really love it. . especially, since cycoced makes some EXCELLENT ip packages--including, and especially, LENA IP!

Cycoced I've loved your work and think Lena and the update to ClearXP are fabulous except I just can't get used to the Compact menus.

In an earlier post you said "Don Pietro, If you have SkinStudio, you should be able to tweak the start menu to be non-compact, I'll tell you how if you don't know."

I have SkinStudio and I'm happy to give it a go so please let me know how to do it.

Thank you

I really do like this skin as well. But don't care for the compact start menu. Can I please get instructions to tweak it to be noncompact? Thanks!

Me too, me too. I'd like a full start menu. I have Skin Studio also.
