- thank you for the great feedback! My goal is to make skins that I could see myself using for long periods of time as if they were pre-packaged with the os. Clean, crisp colors, bright but not blinding, clean lines. There are still alot of areas I can improve: I have no skill set whatsoever when creating icons and need to work on the slider buttons and smaller window components because in the end people want a complete package and I'm just not there yet.
Although I've heard from a few users that they don't like vista themes, since vista is new, I like the new look, I know what xp looks like but I like making xp look similar to vista which I why I create these vista themes - I'm sure I'll move on to other wb styles but right now I'm in that mode - I'm glad you liked it!
tell you what, when I'm done working on my current "green" wb theme which should be in a week or so, I will work on adding glow overlays to the min, max, close buttons on the window frames as well as glow overlay to the vista style globe start button. I just learned how to do this and I added to my current work so I will definitely add it to this blue version as well. I'll probably add another transparency substyle because the one I've included with blue vista basic v1.0 is not as transparent as some would like.
Thank you for the positive reinforcement, it does make the work worthwhile when I hear that people enjoyed using what I've created.

I have few other skins coming out soon, a green vista basic (which also includes green lantern & incredible hulk start panel substyles along with vista style full & compact & transparent start panel substyles.) I will also be releasing a red vista basic and updating my mauve boost skin as well. I also have a "blue ice" wb theme in the works, check out the screenshots section of the website for a sneak peak if you're interested. When I first started I thought bootskins were the funnest skinning project out there, now I can't get enough of these wb's - who knew they were so fun to work on?!

U are the coolest!!!
I am so happy you was able to experiment with the glow buttons on your/my blue vista v1 skin......
i have to say that the blue vista v1 was the mutts nuts But now you have gone even further by tinkering with the v1, and in all honesty the finished result looks bloody exelent!!!! and would have a very hard time removing blue vista v2 from my screen....
love your work m8
all the best

I agree, the glow buttons are cool, now that I've figured out the glow button "magic", I'll be sure to include it in all of my wb's going forward and I will be updating all of my older skins with that update as well.

I tried what you said about hiding the taskbar but my taskbar and startbutton get hidden at the same time, my start button doesn't stay up at all. I have a couple of other machines I will test this on as well. My next wb (inspired by captain america) will be out soon, hopefully by the weekend.

would just like to say that this skin is awesome... such a vibrant crisp clean and refreshing colour you have chosen
i have to say I have been using the vista plus version 1 and 2 from adni18 which again is a awesome skin, but as soon as i see the colour and style of this skin there was no choice.... it is totaly my fave colour in the world
only one thing i would posible like to add...
in the vista plus from adni18 he has these reasly funky minimise, close and maximise glow buttons..... something just like that would for me personaly, be the muts nuts
