First of all...doing so violates the end user agreement (aka copyright). You didn't have permission from the author to change any of the files....and yet you did.
Second, no one here has to take time out of their day to explain why they contribute to the community.
Third, 99% of all posted work on this site is original in one way or another. Can't recognize? Well...we're not here to hold your hand.
and lastly.....porting a VS to a WB, as IR explained, takes a bit more than just "zipping for distribution" as you more than likely did. Lots of adjustments and additions to items NOT skinnable in a VS need to be done in order for the transition to look good.

As long as it's for personal use and no redistribution, there shouldn't be anything wrong with it.

Those original VSs are all good, but sadly not in Windowblinds.-No hyaline, glow effects.,and such as.
Those original 2 Windowblinds skins is disastrous:Vectra and StargateSG1
Vectra-full of unknowed files(VectraScreen.BackgroundPerPixelImage,VectraShutdownDialog.BackgroundPerPixelImage,etc.,) and humongous file MB.
StargateSG1-blue screen shown up after applying, startmenu mussed up and same as Vectra 2 nodes.
Wish above commemts is constrctive advice.
My point is you should get more improvement while making a new skin from the scratch on Windowblinds, instead of porting those VS. Be honest, that's amateur job on doing porting. Have you ever seen Treetog or Mike ported their WB skin to VS?? None.

Secondly If your start menu is messed up you are probably on a non english system ( for vectra you can get a fix for this on my site www.maxstyles.com ) or your System DPI or font overides in WB need adjusted. The filesize in Vectra is due to the 7 substyles that were implemented after taking requests from people to make different acoomodating substyles. If you had looked you would have known this. I might also add that that disasterous theme placed third in last years GUIC.
and thirdly why I am I even trying to help someone who is obviously ungrateful and posting in such a disrespectful manner. Read the threads for SG1 and Vectra and gain a common consensus before you go calling someones work disasterous.
Better still and this is a better idea for you.. just don't use my disasterous work then were both happy...lastly don't act like your trying to be constructive when your obviously trolling and doing your best to make me look bad..I'll rely on my own methods of improvement and you can you use their themes.

This is the problem with font appearance.
