I do have a suggestion, that you might consider for a 4th of July skin, is removing all the Captain America images and just having the flag. The flag in the titlebar is top notch.
Also, instead of having the flags in the "taskbuttons" you could make a large "glygh" that goes on top of the taskbar. That way it would match the titlebar.
Like I said, just a suggestion. Good work.

The feedback you have provided is much appreciated!!!
(- an ego boost on a monday morning is always welcome!

Z71, I didn't know that there was a glyph image setting for the taskbar buttons, I'll definitely look into (I always welcome feedback & suggestions of any kind). The taskbar buttons were a bit of a struggle. The buttons without any image are simple enough but I wanted the the activated state button to be a little different. I tried to incorporate the same image as the windowframe top but it gets considerably squished as you can see. I also tried on one of my initial attempts to just using a small captain america shield on the right of the taskbar button but as it gets smaller it loses detail plus when the taskbar buttons adjust in size, the shield gets squished as well which didn't end up looking that great. I will look into your glyph image suggestion, if I could get an image to sit on the task bar (just like the application icons currently do), that would be the solution to the puzzle.
I'm still learning alot when working on these blinds, I find that with each new wb I learn something new. That being said, I have to admit that all of my wb's are starting to look alot like each other which is bothering me to no end. I tried to do something different with this wb, don't know how well I succeeded. The idea for this wb has been in my head for quite some time and I'm glad I was finally able to finish it and upload it to the site. I still have areas of skinning that I have no idea and/or skill about. Animations are one thing, I've read about it, checked out a tutorial on the site and attempted it, it didn't work out so I left the default animations that come with the skin. The other major area that I have no skill with is toolbar icons, I just can't get into working with graphics that are so small (I have a hard enough time working with regular size images), I would love to have that ability, I've seen some toolbar icon sets that come with the wb's on this site and it just blows my mind that people are able to create such detailed images when the icons are only 24x24 (pixels). It's a mental block that I just can't get over.
Thanks again to everyone for the great feedback!!!
p.s....
FYI - to anyone reading these comments, this skin is not meant to be political and I am not making any type of political statement whatsoever. I'm a big marvel comicbook fan (had a decent collection when I was a kid), I no longer have the comics but the interest is very much still there.

I totally agree, accessories like a great icon package would be an awesome addition to this skin!

I hope you consider keeping the default min, max, close buttons as seen in Vista. It best fit the skin.
This quality released - A true premium windowblinds!

This skin reminds me of the greatest skins I've left behind after I embraced Vista.
I'd like to see He Is What He Is also known as Mike Bryant The Great rains on us some great premium suites soon for Vista. I remember the old time.

I will attempt to add other action buttons in future wb's, I have tested a minimize current window to system tray action button and it works pretty good too, don't know how much of a demand there are for these extra action buttons, I don't see this function used on a regular basis with other skins.

Do you have a set date for the release of Vista Version?
Though I know it will require the Start panel to be cleaned up a little.
I'd also like you to keep the default min, max, close bottons as in Vista. That's in my book.
I'm using this at work. At home I can only use Vista.

I don't know of way of switching from the style of vista min/max/close buttons (used/shown in vista's windows explorer) that I've included to using the default version of vista min/max/close buttons, I don't think you can load partial components from a wb.
I agree with you though on vista's look, I really do like vista's default gui windowframes & buttons.

Actually I was waiting to hear from you, you gave me great feedback on my screenshot from a couple of weeks ago and I wondering what you were going to think of it when you got a chance to download & test it out. I'm glad you like it.
I don't know about gold... possibly metallic/glossy light blue... maybe
