Hey windoe, at my 1280x1024 res the start menu is a little off. It is half way between standard and compact, some text is about half cut off on places side.
Maybe more a personal taste thing; not sure that the red and dark blue toolbar icons fit with the rest of the skin.

I don't understand about the start menu : My screen allowed me to test all resolutions between 800x600 and 1920x1200, so I did !
Except a difference of size, it looks exactly like in preview in all cases !
Is it special to my 15"4 wide screen ? Difficult to say cause I just have this way to see...

windoe, I always appreciate people creating there OWN artwork to contribute to the community, but if you're going to use someone else's work, especially if it's mine, I would like to be asked first.

May be my end, running 1280 on a 17 inch CRT, this is above native res for my monitor.
Is no biggy though, increased user pane size by 20 and all is well.

Thanks to everybody for support.
Special note to Patrick24 : There are so many themes on WC (and other sites !) that we finally arrive to make skins which look like others, without any intention to rip...Imitation is the most sincere form of admiration !

windoe I would advise that you keep at it.
If you quit, you will most definitely not improve, if you continue, you will definitely improve.
The skin may be a little rough around the edges but it isn't bad and I personally couldn't see what patrick was referring to without another skin to view and compare with.
Keep at it, you will get better and I like the idea & theme of this wb.
And if anything you could always revise this at a later date & upload a v2 (heck I'm currently at v3.0 for my black vista basic wb, it takes a few attempts to get them looking their best). ��

It's so kind of you, unclerob ,but I don't really feel welcome in this category.
I prefer to go back to things I'm used to, like SysMetrix for example.
Thanks again and keep on the good work (I have BlackVista v3 on my Office's Computer and its better than Vista ! )

You are welcome in this category and please reconsider staying & skinning wb's, we definitely need more people contributing to the wb gallery, it's been a little quiet in this section and if people leave it can only get worse, trust me - keep at it. You're getting a decent download response to this wb today, if anything that should be an indication that you're headed in the right direction.
By all means continue skinning sysmetrix (it's something I've always wanted to try, and I will find the time eventually I promise) but also continue skinning wb's. �

Windoe, I don't mind you imitating my work, but you clearly didn't make the graphics yourself - the parts I pointed out . They are exactly the same, you just changed the button glyphs. I can see the rest of the skin is your own art work (I think) but you got lazy with some parts, and decided to directly copy some things. By all means, I encourage you to keep making skins, just think how you would feel if someone stole part of your work that you put alot of time into.
