"Francis of Assisi (1181-1226) One of the most beloved and popular saints in the world, Il Poverello (the Little Poor Man), and founder of the Franciscan Order. Born in Assisi, Italy, the son of Peter Bernadone, a wealthy silk merchant, Francis spent his early years as a pleasure-seeking, popular leader of Assisi youth. This changed dramatically in 1202.....
.......Although never ordained, believing himself unworthy of the priesthood, Francis of Assisi had an astounding impact on the religious life in the Church. His life was characterized by joyous worship, reverence for nature, and concern for the sick and poor. He is depicted in liturgical art in his habit, with the stigmata, and sometimes with a winged crucifix. He is also depicted giving sermons to animals or birds. "

Now, if anyone claims a SUPERIOR/current proprietorship to the 'winged Crucifix' than AD 1226 then well and good, otherwise anyone continuing to complain here will have a short site membership.
When I said the icon 'winged cross' was ancient I was not mistaken and am certain earlier references can be found than the 12th century. If the original 'copyright holder'/creator/designer still lives he'd be a wee bit old....

Ancient Knowledge:
I don't believe that at all, as it would have taken a lot of copy/pasting, or [smiley] button-pushing at the very least.
However...
This time I'll give you the benefit of a chance.
It took an extremely long time to load, but I waited -and deleted your previous post, as it was severely slowing down the page load.
Please don't do that again.
