Excellent work. I would say you are well on your way to becoming a master skinner.

follow up to comment #30, on vista when opening my computer or pictures etc, the text under favorite links column is blue on blue background, this makes it impossible to read. Shame because i love this skin.

Thank you Snake..I'll take a look at that. I have been reworking the skin with SKS5 so it will work better with XP. Unfortunately I have no way to test it under XP so if anyone wants to give it a try and give me the feedback I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you again to everyone for the wonderful support.

Great start, very strong design with nice accents, lots to like here.

Just for feedback, on my XP box, with WB6 and using the Webslinger XP as it comes, there is a shadow on the right side of the Start Panel that detracts a little from the curves on the top & bottom - it basically outlines the 'bounding' area of the box that the panel is cut from.

Thank you for pointing that out Alternate Setting...the only way I know how to remedy that right now is to turn off the show shadows behind menus in the effects section of display settings...I think you can get there by right clicking on the desktop but I'm not sure. I may tweak the UIS2 frame a little to get the transparency in there better, I think i have to build "a without shadows frame" to remedy that but I'm not sure. Turning off the shadows doesn't seem to be noticeable to me other than not having that annoying outline on the start panel. If anyone has any thoughts about this I would love hear them.

It would have been a lot nicer without the HUGE UserPane with BIG "Webslinger" word on it. At least a sub version with a tiny Userpane as seen in Vista would have been great too and move the logoff button a little closer to the right. But the skin is free and that maybe how you like it best.

Back in XP time it would have been perfect in my eyes, now Vista is all and all is about Vista I'll reduce the Userpane size myself because I love the skin enough so...

If I'm complaining for something, I must LOVE it

You've reached so far than most of us, yet you are just getting started

Thank you Elsius for the truly kind words. When I started the skin I was using XP and unfortunately deleted the template I used for the start panel. When I switched to Vista, the start panel fit nicely enough with the transition for me but I never expected the skin to do this well. I have started a new skin but I think I will put it on hold and reconfigure the start panel to reflect the Vista style a little better. I will include both options as I still like the name across the top. Thank you again to everyone for the extremely warm welcome I have been given by this community .
