The start panel looks awesome on first apply and the task bar looks good enough to burn, I'm going to tweak it now, but first impressions, you have a definite winner here, bloody great job Jester

Hey jester382; for the UIS2 frames you have used tga images, they must be bitmap images using magic pink anywhere you want trans.

This one may be more personal taste, the taskbar does not look right set to centered as you have it. Most would not know how to correct this if they want the taskbar going all the way across screen.

For the task pane you should try to stay away from busy images. On my 17 inch monitor at 1280x1024, when max a window the image is stretched and gets blurry. For the panel content you should try to stay away from dark, the text for Details panel can't be changed thru SKS, the text is always black on it.

Your shellstyle images for my music, pics etc are not being displayed, the top left pixel of the image must be the same color as the window background. The default blue shellstyle image for Control panel looks out of place. (For whatever reason for Control panel top left pixel color need not match window color.

Nice job on the wood grain.

I have Vista Premium and it doesn't work. The taskbar is missing pieces on the left <---- and right ----> sides.

That is the way jester has it set.

Hey jester a couple more tips, when finished skin and still have it open in SKS 6, from Tools on menubar select Clean skin, this will put unused images in a back up folder in skin folder, before zip it up remove this folder and the temp png folder from skin folder. This skin had 2.73 MB of unused image left in it. Also before zip search the folder for .png, you had 65 png images in folder, they are not used either. After doing all the above the skin folder went from 8.72 MB to 5.32, the .wba file went from 3.69 to 1.91. (Much nicer for those on dial-up)

It looks like I got alot of work to do on this, there's alot of things I found myself after I uploaded it, for example the start menu text on the left is hard to read because of the transparency, I'm gonna do some major changes to this, looks like I was try work too fast and overlooked alot. Thanks much for the comments I appreciate it.
