also...anyone experiencing a slowdown on XP while using the vineshadow substyle...Neil already has a fix in the works and it will solve that issue. Should be in a future beta release...for now...well...just use the others til it comes out.

If you've already bought the older version, and don't know how to get the update, here's how: Go to https://forums.stardock.com/ and click on My Account, and ecoLogical will be in your registrations.

I've got the mud brown version on XP right now. It's a BIG improvement over the original, and I have to agree--it's almost pretty.

as for the earlier question...'why is this skin a dollar more than usual?' well...its complicated, more than simple greed...heheh. It was during the change to Vista.Suddenly we had more work to do but for the same amount of customers.Skinning Vista didnt get you more customers...it just kept the same ones you already were selling to that had now moved on to Vista. Some of us thought that skinning an extra OS was worth an extra dollar (it was certainly more work than that)...but we were concerned that the increase would also lose some customers. So we tested the waters and tried to find out.It seemed to hurt sales but thats hard to determine based on this skins built in limited appeal. PLUS...some users, probably most of them, only needed one OS skinned so the added work didnt benefit them, only the multibooters. So...it was really a mistake to add a buck to this skin. Now we have 3 damn OS's to skin and its even MORE work...for the exact same amount of customers...they are now spread across 3 operating systems. So its a no win for the skinner unless his skin is VERY popular...you can only push the price so far before the buyer balks and says not my money mister. In the end...I dont know if I'll keep all my new skins at that price or revert back to 5$...probably the latter. For this skin,I tried to at least put enough styles in there to make it seem to be worth an extra buck.

Thanks a bunch. What I thought was an issue with the pinned app buttons on 7 turns out to be a slight problem with the latest beta of WB(7.09 I think) Its been reported so I bet a fix is coming. That just leaves the ladybug and shutdown arrow prob for me to fix so far...anything else, let me know soon.

Multi-instance buttons on 7's taskbar should look like this...

there are problems with the coloring making things extremely hard to read, for example on windows 7 when u click the systray arrow, the customize text is barely legible, it isn't colored properly, noticed similar things in some applications as well.

I liked the skin but the wallpapers did not work for me. Several of the Avatar wallpapers look fantastic with this skin. Just a suggestion. The skin is incredible. It is my new favorite! I'll be leaving on for a good while! Worth everybit of the $6 !
