the skin itself works, but for some reason, the close, minimize, restore/maximise buttons aren't visible for me, & the top bar of the window is unclickable as well....

It is true. I am having the same problem. It looks to be nice but with this one major issue, is unusable.

I'm having a transparency problem. I always set the transparency for things to 'Never Blur' but this only applys to the bottom half of the Start Menu. The top part (Where my name and usually pic appear) is blurred... =S

There was a broken part in the skin... I managed to fix it (or, it works now anyway... this is the first time I've played with a visual style) by removing something I think was placed accidentally. If you're getting a block white frame (as in the image posted earlier) this version should have that fixed: The 'corrected' file resides here: http://pandemonia.webs.com/White_%5BXP%5D.wba
