really lacks detail (and could use some more design, as well...)
What kind of detail do you mean? I tried to make it all match and what not... should I add a pattern to the taskbar?

The left side of the start panel should be wider than the right, keep that in mind.. and keep on skinning

good idea. I think the flow of the theme could be improved, e.g. transition between menu bars and actual window (green areas turn into sharp black lines...)...

I think you must do something more impressive. I've seen your skins are all the same! This is good because you've got personality,but for your evolving is important try something more difficult.Is only a suggestion

Hi Rachel - I think it's time to raise the bar on your skins. If you're using Photoshop as your graphics program, there are some really awesome presets you can use for layer styles, which are fantastic in their own right, but also you can learn from them. My 2 absolute favorites are Mandy's UI Gadget, http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/exchange/index.cfm?event=extensionDetail&loc=en_us&extid=1044442, and Interface Metals, http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/exchange/index.cfm?event=extensionDetail&extid=1041614. Keep up the good work!

After testing this skin for myself, I wasn't too impressed; but, you'll get better with time. Here's what I didn't like. A. This skin feels more like a recolor of the normal XP themes, with a few modifications. B. The Apple start button is WAY TOO BIG! Plus I wouldn't use an apple. (It promotes Mac's OS!) C. The Schoolboard is GIGANTIC, plus I wouldn't embed my Username on the Start Menu indefinately. D. More elements need to be edited, such as the context menus. And I mean more than just a recolor. If I were you, try downloading some other skins, run them in Skinstudio and compare similar elements from their skins to yours. You could also get help from the WinCustomize community. On the Bright side, you had a great idea for your skin, not just another lame OS-based theme. We already have enough of those! Keep Trying. I'm looking forward to see your next creation!

This is nice! maybe in an update,just take off the blackboard and use it as the splash screen instead of part of the start menu. Keep the Apple start button, though- love that touch! I also love the blended apple green shades.
