Hey, this is cool, might even tempt someone into either making or eating a key lime pie!

Ever wonder why green is the predominating color on our world? It's download time!

Hi I love this theme and you detail ! I wanted to ask if you could make this same one but in pastel pink and black? Ive found no luck in a pink window blind there all from 2007 ? Not updated .which means no pink blinds and i have 8.1. If you could let me know thanks .

Well, I can think about doing a pastel pink and black skin in the future, but it would be different as I do not remake my existing skins like that. It may be a while though, and thanks for the nice comments! Thanks to everyone!

They say green can be a relaxing color - well so can orange, and I'll explain that of course

Your monitor puts off 6500k glow, all day all night every night.

6500k tries it's best to match daytime, it does it's best work on a cloudy day as they match very well.

Could you think of just one reason why your monitor which displays daytime colors could possibly disrupt sleep? (and it does disrupt sleep).

It's because that's how your body works, it sees that bright light and thinks ("Oh it's daytime, let's slow down on the sleepy medicine, and wake up a little")

I won't get specifit - that's what (http://www.justgetflux.com/research.html) is for.

1st line of defense for this is to reduce your monitor brightness, and when I say reduce it, I mean take it down to 0, absolute minimun

(if a piece of paper is brighter than the monitor at this point I strongly suggest you reconsider the lighting in your room at night time)

(I have been talking with Dell and LG, to get a dedicated button - / + 10% on the monitor JUST for brightness, but in the meantime...)

#2 Just Get F.lux!    I can't stress this enough, I think I have even had a couple of my comments removed from this website thinking this was spam, but trust me it's not.

f.lux (http://www.justgetflux.com/) tones down how bright and blue your monitor is at night, and brings it down to your indoor light level, (not necessarily the brightness but the color)

It warms up the colors and makes the screen match what things look like around you.

a white piece of paper should look like notepad on your monitor (if the colors are not the same, try a different setting in the program, if that doesn't work, then your monitors colors aren't quite correct and you'll probably want to make a few adjustments)

This gets your body ready for sleep, and let's your body's sleep hormone flow more naturally (melatonin).

f.lux is free, if you don't believe in the numerous pages of research on the research page which I'll link to again it's http://www.justgetflux.com/research.html  then you could at least try it anyway, I like it because it makes the screen easier to look at when night time comes.

I hope you all find this helpful, oh here are some tips:

  1. Use the slow 60 minute transiton (the default is 20 seconds and is really abrupt)
  2. Set your location
  3. Try the warmer modes by expanding the range.
  4. Tell your family and friends about it, trust me, they will like it too, just takes time to get used to it, maybe even a week, but give it time.

If you have trouble adjusting try this

The first night put the setting on 5000k or (sunlight as it's called in the presets on the right - - - menu)

Try try 4500k the next night again be sure to use the slow transition

Try 4200k the next night.

Try 3800k the next night

3700k, then 3500, then stay on halogen for a while to see if you've adjusted.

After a few days try the Incandescent (2700k preset)

If you're room lighting isn't 2700k at night, you may consider getting some Philips LED bulbs that display 2700k color.  It really is good for sleep!

I hope this helps, enjoy!

I hate to say this timsanders93, but it seems you are trying to promote a product here. I would appreciate it is you don't make these type of posts on my skins, this is the 2nd time now. If you want to make a post, do it somewhere else in the forums please.
