and a few guidelines in the Winstep Forums at

which should help you get started. You should also read the skinning section of the NextSTART and WorkShelf User Guides to know which bitmaps do what.

First you will have to download and install Winstep Xtreme from the Winstep Web Site (or you can download it directly through http://www.winstep.net/xtreme.zip).
There is also a FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) for the NextSTART and WorkShelf components of Winstep Xtreme in the Winstep Forums.
Hope this helps.

If, on the other hand, you are asking me if you can use the wallpaper in this theme for other stuff, no problems with me. Just email me at support@winstep.net so I can give you the email address of the person that took the original photo - he likes to be notified whenever his photos are used for something.

I do have one oth Q. i really like the cpu meter and how it shows top 4 processes. If i just wanted that i still would need Winstep? I havnt installed Winstep but if i do, i notice it includes NextSTART, WorkShelf, NeXuS and Font Browser. Do i have to have them all running to use this cpu meter?
ty, great job.

Yes, but since you haven't tried Winstep Xtreme yet, let me tell you that all Winstep modules do things regular widgets don't. For instance, besides synchronizing the time, the clock module also speaks it, the email module is multi-account and allows you to monitor IMAP as well as the usual POP3 accounts (and it supports SSL too, therefore you can also monitor G-Mail accounts), the Net Meter can display which applications are currently connecting to the Internet plus an impressive array of TCP/IP stats, etc...
Anyway, give Winstep Xtreme a try and see for yourself.
No, just WorkShelf (and NeXuS, which, like the desktop modules, is also part of WorkShelf).

I notice u use zone alarm. If i had a wish-list for zone alarm it would be, to be able to tell the diff between network traffic, and internet traffic.
Can net meter differentiate between network activity, and internet activity?

Typical: if you're a large corporation like Symantec and your competition is giving you trouble, then buy them off and kill their product.
Anyway, you should be able to tell the difference between LAN traffic and Internet traffic because all the IP addresses used for local traffic are private (e.g.; 192.168.x.x).

Next release (Winstep Xtreme 7.4, which is still in beta and will be out very soon now) theme files will have an .xtreme extension and can be automatically installed and applied simply by double clicking on them.
