CES: Arrival in Las Vegas

Ants, Microsoft, and more

Saturday, January 6, 2007 by Frogboy | Discussion: CES 2007

The ants in Las Vegas are addicted to Advil. That's the only explanation I have for how, at the hotel here, that armies of ants came crawling out of the wall, streamed right up to my bottle of Advil and went inside of it.  They have a problem. They won't admit it. But they do.  You haven't lived until you've seen the inside of a bottle of Advil 1/4th full with piles of ants.  Damn bugs.

Having been using the "gold" version of Windows Vista for a few weeks, I am pleased to announce that it's pretty good. It's not buggy in any major way. There are, however, various device issues. I'm not yet satisfied with the compatibility of games and Vista but I suspect that by the time it's generally available, the video driver makers will have provided some decent updates.

Most of the first two days we're spending time talking to Microsoft about some of the cool features of Windows Vista that are not very well known.

Next up, fun with USB flash drives..

"BUG STOP"  available at Wal-Mart.  Only darn thing I've ever found that gets rid of them,  stops those dang ants from coming in.

That stuff is so good I'd make a bet on it.  My neighbors tried it,  and pretty soon most of the neighbors in the complex wanted to borrow my bottle!

Ants addicted to Advil.  Wow!

Ant farms. Alex can sell 'em to his friends, and they won't have to write away for ants!
Was in L.V. for the last great(?) COMDEX a few years ago. No other place like it. Blimp and helicopter rides and a run to the top of the tower are happening. Criss Angel magic stuff. You'll have lots of unbelievable and weird tales when you return. Thanks for the news from Lost Wages. P.S. Lake Mead's a final stop for ex-wiseguys oftentimes, so bottled water is encouraged...

That's pretty weird about the Advil. Oh well, nature is a strange lady that does some really, really weird crap.

I've always wondered, Brad, why do you post under two names (Draginol and Frogboy)? I always have been curious about that.
