ShutDownDialog and LogOffDialog code glitch

How to fix it.

Sunday, January 28, 2007 by SKoriginals | Discussion: WindowBlinds Tutorials

For those of you who have tried to create a Per-Pixel ShutDown and LogOff and just can not seem to get it to work here is why.

There seems to be a glitch in the coding where 2 lines of code are not present and must be put in for it to work correctly. You will have to go to the top center tab 'Code' and look for the [ShutdownDialog.BackgroundPerPixel] and the [LogOffDialog.BackgroundPerPixel]. Now they could be at any number code line but tend to be near the bottom. In the original state they look something like this...

but as I said there are two lines of code missing that need to be placed in there. Here is what the finished or completed code should look like...

if you place these missing lines of code into those sections all should work propery. Hope this helps out.

Yuppers, that's what I have been doing to get the darn things to work...then just have to ignore it when checking code correctness as it says it is unnecessary and should be removed to improve skin performance.

Wow I was unaware that one could actually change the shutdown screen as well! I have mastered the art of adding Bootskins (once someone else has made the skin for me) is there a similar program for shut down skins??

GustheGuideDog, unfortunately not.
This is about a part of windowblinds coding not about a shutdown software.
Windowblinds is to change the apparency of Windows.
this is the link to the software page:

Anyone Have A Clue Whats Going On...?

This from Neil Banfield should answer your question

The bug analysing and correction feature in SKS5 was more trouble than it was worth. Frequently it flagged things which were not issues and gave the user the impression that the skin had serious problems. Worse, the correct these errors feature can damage a skin.
