That is a good demonstration -- but I have never been able to get Explorer Backgrounds to work on my computer. I use Vista Home Premium with 4GB RAM, an AMD Athlon 64 X2 Duel-Core Processor, and an NVidia 7300LE graphics board with 256 MB RAM (and the ability to use up to 2 GB of RAM by borrowing from the main RAM). I use two monitors, one a 20" standard format and one a 20" widescreen.

This has been asked before in the forums. Is there any hope of being able to use backgrounds of our own choice instead of the standard 20? That would really be something!!!!

Do you know if that has ever been answered?

If you run Skinstudio 6, you can change the explorer background to ANY .bmp or .png image. (.jpg's don't work) However, if the image is too small, it will tile, so I recommend using an image at least the size of your screen resolution. NOTE: Changing the explorer background is a "per skin basis"; meaning the background change will only affect the current skin being edited.
