Question : Does it play nice with Multiplicity without disappearing cursors finally?

Cursor still disappears on primary with Multiplicity.

Tell me why this useless - but sometimes fun - program isn't a part of the Object Desktop suite? Or - the real question is: when will Stardock wake up and see that people (consumers/customers) want *choice* in order to get the most bang for their buck?! "Force" a core group of programs on potential consumers but also offer them 2 or 3 "open" spots in the suite (heck - even 1 or 2 would be fine) so they can choose other programs they might actually *use* more often. Allowing someone the opportunity to select Object Dock - or even CursorFX - instead of forcing useless pieces of software on them such as Deskscapes and SoundPackager (as an example) provides a heck of a lot more VALUE to customers. As a sales executive working within a multi-billion dollar client territory, providing options to my clients along with showing and/or demonstrating VALUE - *not* listing product features is what keeps me at the top of a long list of sales people every month and year. How many of you Object Desktop suite users out there use every single program every day? How many of you have never - or hardly ever - used anywhere from 1 to 3 of the applications? Wouldn't you like to replace 1 to 3 of them with something else more useful to you? I can only imagine how many other people out there are thinking the same thing. Of course, this is also why they have NOT purchased the software, too. Don't get my opinion twisted, now. I'm a Stardock fan and believe they do good work. It's just difficult to understand why they - along with other companies - continue to operate within a business and sales model from 10 years ago. It's time to wake up! The economy has changed and people are not spending like they used to - nor will they do so in the near to intermediate future. You can tweak Windowblinds all you want. The people who aren't buying it now because they're forced to take other apps they'll never use, couldn't care less about those improvements. They're not going to purchase it individually either - not at it's current price.

I couldn't agree more uradodah. Not to include a software like the Cursor FX in to the Object Desktop package is really funny. It's value is nowhere near Object Dock, because it's not pragmatic and yet it is offered as a stand alone version. Absolutely ridiculous strategy to lure the customers to buy it. Why do people fall for something like that?!?!?! Sound Packager is the most annoying thing i have ever installed on my PC and regardless of the various sound themes you can switch to, it is as worthless as the "error reporting service" in windows. I wanted to buy the object desktop for so long, but it is not packed how i want to. It is not an individual taste thing. Object Dock should be included in the Object Desktop and as for Cursor FX,we shouldn't even speak. There's enough people buying ODesktop as it is, so if people don't wise up and seek value and pragmatism of eye candies, i doubt that there will be improvements in this matter.

The issue of CFX not being part of ODNT has been hashed over many times before but some of you are no doubt new to the party.

CFX was a stand-alone program created by an independent programmer several years ago, called CursorXP originally, which I purchased back in the day.  The program was subsequently acquired by Stardock and the developer/programmer was hired by Stardock (he's done yeoman work on DesktopX since).  Subsequently renamed CursorFX, the program has always been a standalone product, was before purchased by Stardock and remained so after - I suspect, but don't know, that circumstances & agreements made at the time of the acquisition dictated it be maintained as a separate revenue stream.  How else would you handle all those existing CXP customers at the time?  As I was one, I'm just glad the program has been maintained & further developed by someone.  Whatever the reasons, Stardock has made it clear on numerous occasions that it will remain a standalone product.  Be grateful that they offer it at all.

Having said that, I can see some merit in the idea of being able to select a certain number of products from an a la carte menu & calling that your personalized Object Desktop.  Despite the bitchy/ranty tone, uradodah could be on to something there.  Whether that would be workable is something we'll have to let Stardock decide.  Or not.
