The issue of CFX not being part of ODNT has been hashed over many times before but some of you are no doubt new to the party.
CFX was a stand-alone program created by an independent programmer several years ago, called CursorXP originally, which I purchased back in the day. The program was subsequently acquired by Stardock and the developer/programmer was hired by Stardock (he's done yeoman work on DesktopX since). Subsequently renamed CursorFX, the program has always been a standalone product, was before purchased by Stardock and remained so after - I suspect, but don't know, that circumstances & agreements made at the time of the acquisition dictated it be maintained as a separate revenue stream. How else would you handle all those existing CXP customers at the time? As I was one, I'm just glad the program has been maintained & further developed by someone. Whatever the reasons, Stardock has made it clear on numerous occasions that it will remain a standalone product. Be grateful that they offer it at all.
Having said that, I can see some merit in the idea of being able to select a certain number of products from an a la carte menu & calling that your personalized Object Desktop. Despite the bitchy/ranty tone, uradodah could be on to something there. Whether that would be workable is something we'll have to let Stardock decide. Or not.

Question : Does it play nice with Multiplicity without disappearing cursors finally?
