You should see a message if things go wrong.  What message did you see?

 Good Morning Everyone,

I installed WindowBlinds 7.90 beta this morning and so far it is working perfectly.  The new interface works well although I miss being able to change transparency.    I even tried the beta on some legacy blinds and it worked just fine.

I uninstalled the earlier version of WB before installing this one to avoid any conflicts but tt was kind of a shock to see my system running naked!  No WB??  I can't imagine it and don't want to.

I know I will probably upgrade to Windows 8 when 8.1 is released but it will be hard as Windows 7 has been rock solid from day one.  I will most definitely be using Start 8 though as I find the new Windows inteface to be harder to navigate than it should be.  Sure seemed like a lot of work to do a simple restart and the people I serve are lost for the most part so I recommend Start 8 to everyone.

The Stardock team did a great job on WB 7.9.  So far it's working flawlessly (Windows 7, 64 bit).  Thanks for the great work!  It is greatly appreciated.

I did just notice one strange thing though.  The emoticons on this forum appear in a single line down the page.  To add the "grin" I had to scroll waaay down the page.  LOL

Thanks, Zubaz.  Not sure how I missed it earlier when I fiddling around with colors but I think maybe it is because transparency and fonts are in light gray.  Got it now though so thanks again.  The emoticons are now displaying correctly too.

About a month ago I switched from Windows 7 to Windows 8 because i got a great deal at $15 (or so I thought) I was bummed that Windowblinds didn't work with it yet but accepted it. Yesterday I moved back to 7 looking forward ro re-installing Windowblinds but come to find out that because I let object desktop lapse I cannot re-install Windowblinds or Icon Packager even to the last versions I used without paying for Object Desktop . I was offered a discount. Still not happy.

No.  WindowBlinds 8 only supports Windows 7 and Windows 8.

I've reproduced this and have alerted the developer.

C:\Users\Public\Documents\Stardock\WindowBlinds\Textures

The images are tga files and the .texture files can be opened in notepad to edit settings.

I also found that custom made textures are stored here :C:\Users\Public\Documents\Stardock\WindowBlinds\Vista Images\Explorer Textures
