WC Community Question: Do You Use Desktop Wallpapers on Your Mobile Devices?

Tuesday, September 15, 2020 by Island Dog | Discussion: Personal Computing

We have a large wallpaper gallery here and since we've been focusing on getting more content added, I was wondering how you use some of these. Specifically, do you take a desktop wallpaper and use it as the wallpaper on your mobile device such as a phone or tablet?

On most of my mobile devices I typically just use a photo from my photo album, but I have used downloaded wallpapers before.

I use wallpapers on my phone, but most of them I have made or modified to my liking.

No. Don't think this site needs anything that take away the focus from customizing your PC and the apps related.

A Survey here not long ago showed that a lot of Members here DO customize their

Cell Phone Home Page ......... and then there's those people who don't have a computer

and use their Cell Phones instead , they have to find Wallpapers somewhere .

Now days people are on their Cell Phones as much if not more than they are on their PC's.

Aren't You ?

Just Saying .....

No. I use my phone for calls/messages and the occasional app. Gaming, customizing, chatting, streaming, e-mail, and everything else on my PC/Smart TV. I even sometimes  leave my phone at home. I have never felt the need to be connected 24/7. But if the majority of the users want it, I'm more than ok with that.

I create wallpapers for my mobile phone and my iPad Pro.  Surface Pro as well.

The truth is that there are tons of apps catering to cellphone wallpapers already. Those apps updated their galleries monthly if not daily. Having a cellphone wallpapers section in here cannot compete with that.

I have no desire to have a mobile wallpaper section on WC. I was just wondering if people who create wallpapers would benefit from including resolutions that are more mobile friendly. Although I'm not sure that's even necessary as it's quite easy to make any image a wallpaper....at least in iOS.

Both from Samsung's Gallery and from my own photos. I agree a separate mobile wallpaper gallery isn't the way to go.

I've never transferred any wallpapers from here onto my mobile phone.  As was suggested earlier in the conversation, there are enough themes and wallpapers available on both the IOS and Android platforms already.  So no, we don't really need another gallery for mobiles.
