UXEvolutions.com has some early screenshots of the new build of Windows Vista that's being shown at PDC.
It looks like the side-bar is back.

Doesn't Vista look a bit like Mac's OSX Tiger? Not only the "Widgets" but also the "search bar" which looks very much like Mac's Spotlight... or maybe it's the other way around and Mac stole Windows ideas, cuz OSX Tiger is just an upgrade whereas Vista is a whole new OS. I'm not to sure myself but if anyone knows the truth or has any better theories, drop a comment about it. Vista looks really good, very clean and refined. Does anyone know if the window is always going to be always translucent or is there also going to be a solid version?
