When we released WindowBlinds 11 last year, we knew that retro themes would be a popular style for many of our users. After all, we now include several out of the box like a Windows classic design, a Windows XP style, and even a throwback Macintosh style too.

But what would a fresh take of Windows XP look like, one with modern design elements applied but to that the classic OS? Enter, Fluent Luna.

Fluent Luna takes our classic Luna skin for WindowBlinds 11 but enhances it in all the right places with gradients and updated elements to make it look a bit more modern but without sacrificing the core characteristics that make Luna a favorite skin of our community.

And like all of our recent retro skins, this will soon be included out of the box for new purchases of WindowBlinds 11, and for existing users, you can download it here. And if you are using Start11, you’ll be able to choose from Windows 7, Windows 10, and Windows 11 style Fluent Luna Start Menus.

WindowBlinds 11 is the latest version of our popular Windows customization software that lets you truly personalize your desktop. Released late last year, WindowBlinds allows users to customize the look and feel of their Windows desktop, including changing the colors, textures, and styles of the windows, buttons, and menus.

Along with releasing the base application, we have added a couple of brand-new themes as well. Windows Classic is the best way to make your desktop look like a classic version of Windows - we also have a classic Mac version as well.

With WindowBlinds 11, users can completely transform their Windows desktops; the built-in browser includes thousands of skins to choose from, allowing for complete customization of the look of Windows, buttons, menus, and more. It also includes a powerful theme editor for creating custom skins.

While working on bringing this application to Steam, we also took time to optimize the installation process as well. Starting with new builds of WindowBlinds 11, we have reduced the installation time from a couple of minutes to roughly 30 seconds or less (depending on your hardware).

We do not have a current release date yet for WindowBlinds 11 on Steam as we navigate the final hurdles of bringing this complex application to Steam. That being said, the landing page is now live and you can add the app to your wish list so you'll be notified when it becomes available.

Late last year, we brought a new theme to WindowBlinds 11 that we call Windows Classic. For fans of older versions of Windows, this is a great way to experience some of the late 90s style while retaining the modern features that Windows 11 provides.

In the same vein, we have created another new retro style that crosses the OS waters to MacOS. In our latest theme for WindowBlinds, Mac Classic brings back a different sort of retro feel that lets you experience the unique Mac style from yesterday on your Windows 10 or 11 desktop today.

With a flatter design style and monochromatic elements, Mac Classic will certainly have its fans - but we know it’s not for everyone.  That’s the beauty of WindowBlinds, though: there are thousands of themes that you can apply to your desktop to make it a truly personalized experience.
