Nice job Bryan . Unfortunately, whenever I move the object everything goes blank. It still toggles humidity and barometer but shows no values. My only option is to not movie it - unless you have a solution ? I'm running DX2 public.

Everyone that is having problems should download updated object (10/28/2003), this will fix many of the problems I'm seeing here.

Wonderful work there Bryan!

Lovely icons too!

Any chance anyone can explain how to shorten the country's name if its too long?

Cheers!

Being that there is no code on line 20 I'm kind of stumped. What are you trying to do when this happens, entering a zip code or just running?

Sorry for delay in comment, Frogboy made me come back and make one!

Really though, this is one of the best Weather Objects out there! Being in the UK and able to use it makes me very happy! And the design is sweet enough to use on my "sparse" desktop theme. Very nice work Bryan, keep it up!

BTW, two suggestions/questions, would there be a way of making the country/state name become initials? United Kingdom makes the location string so long it's behind the icon? and also, is it possible to put "tooltips" on the small icons? They're sometimes too hard to differentiate. For example: Rain looks a awful lot like snow; and I would love to be able to tell when it's gonna snow! But thats my two cents!

Cheers for a wonderful piece Bryan!

Bryan,

Done a bit of research and think it is to do with using proxies. Microsoft.XmlHTTP does not handle proxy servers and MSXML2.Server does with some configuration. Being trying all day to get it working but still no joy. I got that error when I enter the ZIP code.

There is one major problem with the source that is being used. In the UK for example, Sheffield is not listed as a major city (which being the 4th largest is pretty weird). So it just displays the weather for Leeds as the Sheffield weather. How innacurate is that? Leeds is miles away!

Yes, it is weird that Sheffield uses the Leeds weather. Guess you'll have to move there to get this object to work correctly. I assume that you are using the code UKXX0133. Looks like a miserable day there today, on second thought you may want to consider moving to Florida to get the object to work!
