You can find it online at many many places. I won't post where to find it because i'm not sure of the legality of it all. Just do a google search for Microsoft Rich Textbox Control 6.0 (SP4) download and follow the intructions given at the site you downloaded from. When I get home for Christmas I will test this on some other computers to try to duplicate the error, but I am pretty sure that it is just a lack of the right control. Make sure it's version 6 that you are getting.

Any body for testing this would help a million.

make sure after you put the new richtx32.ocx control into the right folder (windows/system32 for 2000/nt/xp users or windows/system for 95/98/me) go to start, then run and type in regsvr32 richtx32.ocx
and press enter

err. I renamed and moved my original richtx32.ocx file and moved it to a different folder. Then I tried to run xsticky and it gave me the error that hitop got. I then googled, found the file copied it to the system32 folder, ran "regsvr32 richtx32.ocx" and it worked perfectly. I don't know whats wrong.

maybe you are using an older version of xsticky. Download it again and go through the steps again.

Steve, are you sure it's v6.0 (SP4) of the control? If you don't have this version or later it'll probably crap out.

does it work for you brazen? I wish there was an activex control that came standard with windows that would do what I want it to.

Yeah, I tried downloading the proper version (cut & pasted your words into google), registered it, and still got the error. I also downloaded the current version of the object - just to make sure. Still nothing. Except that if I choose something other than "Continue" in the error dialog I see a box where the text SHOULD go, but it's just an outline that I can move. I can't type in it, but I see it.

alright I am starting to get frustrated. There is no reason for this not to work. (well there must be but I don't know it). What version of windows are you using? Maybe some screenshots of it messing up. I tried my hardest to get it not to work and I could always get it to work.
