Xaeryth: If there's a concensus for this then I can do it. Obviously I'd prefer if this was a general need rather than just for one person. Anyone else need this?

Martin,

As usual, a wonderful piece of development, it's so nice to be able to see my weather and say my parents in the US! Thanks for the great work!

And, in case you're still looking for others who would like to be able to see an extended forcast, then count me as one!

Cheers!

I noticed that the seconds only seem to update twice a minute (:36 and :06 for example). Since seconds are the same all over the world there's not much reason for them at all - might as well take 'em off. Great app otherwise, and I second the requests for a several-day (or at least next-day) forecast version! Thanks for the cool way to keep up with the weather for my friends in London from here in California.

Martin,
BTW, I got the message after installing about "the object had been created on a newer version of DX", and using on my version (2.00a.12, not PRO version) might cause problems; continue or halt?" I continued as well with no errors so far (about 5 mins now. Just thought I would let you know.

Cylon99 and Martin, just FYI, I have no seconds on my standalone which is still working fine. Does the script go to your system's clock set-up for the info? If so, that's why Cylon99's second problem is there. My clock is on 24 hour time (i.e. military); so, no seconds desired/shown. Just a thought. As for additions, I could also go for the minimum of a next day forecast or 3-5 day outlook; but, NOT at the expense of the program not working again...... LOL

Yes, this works based on whatever your machine returns for Time().

If it shows seconds then edit the script of both the times, and change line 10 to Object.SetTimer 2,1000.

For everyone's information, this is based on an internal build of DX so just continue if DX prompts you regarding this.

Martin, this is going to seem like a really stupid question; but, how often does the weather update? I didn't see a ref to that anywhere and have noticed my two cities have remained rather constant for the last 4 hours or so. Thanks in advance and sorry to be a bother....At least I was right about the time issue, that makes me feel better.

Cheers for the response Martin, seems to work fine except doesn't load automatically with startup?

Had to go into object list and manually load it.

Just FYI.

Mr M.

The object checks every hour, but is dependant on weather.com which is in turn dependant on the weather stations it uses.

Check http://xoap.weather.com/weather/local/48152?cc=*&dayf=5 (replace 48152 with your zip and check the parameter which contains something like 12/13/03 5:54 AM EST. This is the last time the data was updated.

If you are not checking for the US visit www.weather.com and find the correct code for your city which will be something like UKXX0162.

Martin, thank you for the info and taking the time to answer my query. BTW, I saw the "Pro" and dl'd it too. Great work! I thank you and I'm sure so does a lot of the community. Cheers.
