Tiggz, luv this object and the link to outlook works fine, the only thing is the incoming mail won't show up and no thunder sound happens 
yet when I first loaded it, I heard the thunder. I have checked and re-checked the script(to see if I missed something).......donno where I'm going wrong

Hi carolelee, glad you like the object, right click in the middle of it and configure email notify - then you will need to put in your mail server details, its name, your logon and pasword and mail server type. If you don't know any of these things your isp can tell you what they are. I hope this is the source of your problems. Let me know how you get on.

Thanks Tiggz for your quick comeback, I had it configured correctly(I thought)the only thing I believe I did wrong was my mail server(I put outlook for its name instead of pop.telus.net)I will let you know when I get more mail....thanks

I don't use AOL so I am not certain if the protocols are the same or not, I think I may have seen posts on the help forum that indicate that they aren't. For me, I rightclick the object and "configure email notify" then I input my detils such as mailserver name, logon, password and mail type (pop in my case) and then it works. For AOL these things will probably be different, but I don't really know. Sorry I can't help more. Maybe do a search of the Help forum for similair questions which may have been answered by someone with more of a clue than me

All works fine, I have tried various mail, weather objects before but always found some lack in funcionality. But Killer really works like a charm.

Great little app. I really like the alpha blending. I did turn of the looping on the animation, due to it eating a lot of my CPU.
Is it possible to create a second one on the desktop to monitor a second account? I tried cloning it, but couldn't get it to work right. Probabbly lack of now-how on my part.
