I like the idea of the resizing! Is there a way to have the clock without the square background? Just a thought.

Unfortunately no, objects that are ActiveX control must be square ... however if you were to embed this in a theme then you could place other objects (e.g. part of a bar) on top of the bits you want to cover to disguise the background.
