This is awesome! The only problem is that when I load it, it says it was made with a newer version (I have the latest update) of DX. The numbers look drop-shadowed, instead of inset. Even with the drop shadow, I'll keep it. Thanks, Tiggz.

Dude!

Every time I think you've outdone yourself, you do it again!

Extremely excellent work!

I agree with vipermerc on all counts. I love it and will keep it, but I'd prefer to have one that actually has inset numbers, instead of drop-shadowed they're harder to read as they are. Otherwise, great work.

Can someone help me here? I can't seem to load this object. When I unzip there is nothing to import or load into DesktopX. Why is that? Sorry for being dense, but I can't seem to get this running on my system.

JBNYC - It is not a zip file.
Just download it, but dont open it with winzip or anything.
The file name should be
k-clock.dxpack. Open DesktopX and import the object.

Phoon: Many thanks and Kudos! For some reason it was renaming it to ".zip"

Damn standards just keep getting higher - way to make a newbie study harder

thanks all, I really appreciate the comments
vipermerc and LordIbuprofen - the dial text does utilise a drop shadow, but it is supposed to be white to give it the inset look as shown in the preview. The ability for shadows to be colours other than black (and to have different offset values) was added in a more recent version of desktopX. In stardock central you need to make sure the "show pre-release versions" option is enabled (bottom left of window) otherwise you will not be given the option of downloading the latest betas. Be warned that using the latest betas can throw up some interesting bugs from time to time, although I am very happy with the latest beta of desktopX.
Once again, thanks to everyone for their comments!

As Homer Simpson might say, "Ex-," "Exx-," "Ex-celent." (or "Exaaactly.")

Tiggz, Thanks for the tip about the pre-release version. The clock looks perfect now. Awesome work!
