if you have the full version of DesktopX, you can easily upgrade to the latest version by checking the "show pre-release versions" box in stardock central (bottom left corner).
Then, just re-import the object and it should work.

I've got another suggestion to make. Is it possible to upgrade the clock to a world clock displaying different time zones simultaneously?
yeah some kind of dual time-zone thingmajig would be cool, thanks for the suggestion. I was thinking of making a full blown alarm/countdown/timer module too, as a seperate screen rather than incorporating it in to the time display. So far I have about 90% of a media module made, but am taking time away from K-Display to make some progress on K-TEK windowblinds, as well as making quite a funky dx net radio object
I think I shall keep this version of K-Display intact, for those that don't want an overly bloated object, then upload (and incrementally update) a sort of K-Display deluxe version.
RPL - thanks for the comment, glad you found a use for it and welcome to dx

i purchased desktopx just to use this object, but i keep
getting an error that it was made with a newer version? and
all the text, etc... is jumbled and to the right of the object???
this may be a stupid question, but do i need version 2.19? and, if so, where do i download it?
i really really want to use this beautifully contructed piece of art

Urban1 - media player is gonna be incorporated into version 2 of this object
Isdragons - not sure why that would be, try accepting the default zip code when you try and change it, leave it for a minute or so, then try and change it to your zip code. You could also try entering your location in by cityname, state.

f0r3 - I'm keeping my eye on it too, between us we can catch it being rascally and try and identify the error, if any
Herman - I might experiment with storing the location in the actual text of a hidden text object - it's not quite as elegant as using persiststorage variables but I think it might eliminate this particular problem. If it works I will update and leave a comment saying what I've done...
