XX, I love the concept and functionality. Problem is, my system is a bit of a dog.

When I run this calendar, my processor usage nearly triples while my system is "idle". My uninformed guess is that it's likely tied to all of the cool appointment, color choosing options available and associated scripts.

I'd like to be able to run the whole thing, but seems that my system isn't up to it. I tried disabling some of the scripts, but seems like there were too many dependencies for me to do this easily. I'd also like to remove the "Today's Appointments" part of the object. Again, I found that the script didn't like it when I did it myself.

Is there a workaround to accomplish this or do you have a plan to develop just a simple calendar-only version?

I do want to emphasize that I love the whole concept. I'd run the thing as-is, but my computer is already taxed to the max. Thanks!

Hmm you could disable code to place those objects at proper place, once you got it in right place of course, by adding ' before the line in timer thats calls for those placement update each second. That way you lessen the cpu useage while keeping ability to turn placement code back on when you moved it and needs it again.

Is there any chance of getting a vertical version of this nifty little program?

You can by clicking one of those color drops. Rightmost one controls main color.
