Very nice work. I was just wondering if it's hard to get the text to look like that?

Great work, Matt!

Works beautifully, and looks awesome! I like the darker metal look even better than the default K-TEK steel, and that's saying something

Thanks for all the wonderful goodies!

thanks alot everyone, it's great you making time for the commentage:)
Richard - import the widget into dx as an object then check out the text properties to see how it's done. It's very straightforward, just a blueish shadow, no offset, wideish spread, highish intensity
Aleatoric! Was getting worried, not seen you around for a while

Very nice widget, only thing is when I click on one of the search results after making a search, the link doesn't open up in my browser. All that happens is that I hear a "beep" from the widget, and that's it. Any ideas to what it might be?

Sorry Tiggz, I was just talking about the bigger cutout looking text on the preview. (K-TEK STEEL)

Really beautiful work. I really want to use the k-tek components but NAV throws up a warning about a malicious script everytime I run the Google widget. Is anyone else having this problem and is it anything to worry about...or do I just ignore it?

Thanks again for the outstanding work!

rdbchick - I assure you it's nothing to worry about, trust me, I'm a skinner etc etc
Richard - 50% grey text, or 55%, set layer to overlay, inner shadow, outerbevel
Tassen, I don't know, it works fine for me and for the people that have tested it for me.

loved this -worked fine when I first downloaded it. but now when I try and install it, it just pops up for a fraction of a second thern vanishes. It's still listed when I check but completely invisible onscreen. Any suggestions or help from anyone?

Steve - I had this happen once before. The widget uses script to save it's position on screen. For some reason (that I don't comprehend) it has moved off screen and had it's position saved. Subsequently, every time you load the widget it nips off pronto to its new location. The solution is to import the widget into dx as an object, use the object navigator list to change it's x,y coordinates to something like 0,0 then poke it with your mouse (dragging it a little way makes it save its position). Then you can delete the object and when you next load the widget it should be in the same place that the object occupied.
I know it's a bit long winded but I don't know why the thing buggers off in the first place - at the moment I am going with "dx bug"

once again Thanks for the help, haven't tried it yet but sounds perfectly logical and I'm sure that will work as I do sometimes 'lose' stuff off screen!

Indeed yes, I can confirm that it worked, hoorah! Huggz for Tiggz! Even more K-Tek Steel on my desktop, just about...
