It did that here for me, when i had internet explorer up and working, but i never use IE, i use firefox.. will play some more and see what is going on.

I couldnt get it to show the icons..explorer kept closing and at one point I had to reactivate my active desktop..everything disappeared. I thought this would be helpful for me because I use Stardocks RightClick Menu program that replaces your normal RC..I wonder if it conflicts with the program ?

Lets say this..
Its works 100% of the time on my computer, I'm not running anything "special" I'm running XP, WindowBlinds 5, and thats about it. I NEVER use IE, i use FF, so for me it works, beyond that, i have no idea. I have no way to test it with every possible setup. Thats why i made it a widget, load DX, and take it apart to see if you can see what is causing the problems.
It VERY possible that it will mess up with other programs running, and i am 100% sure it will mess up on Vista as vista works totally different.
If I was running Vista i would only run things that have "TEST FOR VISTA" on it, as i can not tell you what will happen if you run this on vista. They changed so much that simple things that worked on XP do nothing on Vista.
Any time you mess with wmi and other low level code there is potential for problems and things that will work only on a select group of pc's IE, the CPU Temp, and This.
That said.. please feel free to try it, take it apart, play with it, modify it, blow it up, whatever. LOL
This is why most people stay with the nice weather widgets and clocks, because there is no 100% perfect way to do things that i can guarantee will work everywhere. So, that is why i dont like to release some of these widgets, it seems the more i try to stretch Dx's abilities, the more they break.
If someone knows a better way to do this (i looked for 5 hrs yesterday to try and see what is out there) please let me know.

Thanks bilbo.... I love to try new things, it just sucks that they dont always work...... but at least you can look to see what i did, and maybe someone will figure it out.

RIGHT-CLICK on your desktop, click "ARRANGE ICONS BY" then "SHOW DESKTOP ICONS"
