thank you both, now that I'm using the weather widget on a daily basis, I find myself wanting to create several different versions - having alot of fun along the way too!!! �

thank you very much atomnet & Keila, it was a very fun project to work on, using glyph images for the wb taskbar backgrounds was a new thing for me and it worked well - it's a great example of having a textured background without risking distortion when you resize those elements.
