I just worry that people will try to use this widget uncorrectly... SO THE NEXT HOT KEYS MUST TO BE SWITCHED ON (ENABLED) BEFORE USING IT ON YOUR COMPUTER:
1. VOLUME UP
2. VOLUME DOWN
3. VOLUME MUTE
The widget needs to know where to get the necessary info! �

Great work, Vad, though I think the bar and numbers are a bit too big... perhaps a smaller version would be in order, or even better, the possibility to change the gadgets size.

May be this make a sense...
However the notification area of IBM's program has the similar size. I have used it a few years on 1024 x 768 resolution without any problems. Now I'm working on 1680 x 1050 monitor and the size of digits (as well the seek bar) do not seem to me so larger as you talk...

Regarding the resolutions, friend, I work in 1280x1024 and the SD Display looks larger than most of my widgets, apps and fonts. Now don't get me wrong, I am not complaining, just pointing some things that could be upgraded. Your gadget is great as it is. However, I noticed another little issue today. I started testing both the widget and the gadget to see which I would make my standard volume display, when I noticed the desktop position is reset in both cases whenever you restart/shut off your PC. This may not be a huge problem for taskbar-only users, but seeing as I have a bottom Object Dock, one of them gets overlapped. I put it right below my top-anchored SD-Loader bar(which you masterfully crafted!!), so it looks cool and doesn't overlap anything. I wouldn't mention this if it wasn't for the rest of Desktop X's objects and widgets keeping desktop positions unaltered after restart-shut off. Anyway, just another thing I noticed.

This is great! I've already customized the graphics but one thing I have noticed is the mute on the widget and the actual mute status can get out of sync. Example being if my laptop starts up muted because it shut down muted, the widget will start not muted and when I press the mute button the sound will return but the widget will then show the mute cross (resolved by muting/un-muting with the sound options, not the laptop button) but maybe it could read in the status at start up? Personally I believe the widget would work better if it simply read the information from the system whenever it changed (triggered by the hotkeys?) instead of being entirely based on the hotkeys, but then again, I understand that this whole thing is a project/experiment with detecting those hotkeys so maybe thats defeating the point of this widget 
Either way, I'm keeping it!

I understand! I need to add one short string into the script that will check the status of mute through System.Mute on Startup! I forgot about this trifle because I never turn off my system with active mute key...

This is great, I really needed this since I use hotkeys all the time to set my system volume and I never knew on what percent of power I am unless I opened soundcard's mixer. THANKS

Love this! the one problem i have with it is it wont overlay over full screen applications. When i have it set to always on top and use it during a game it flashes in and out. Is there a way to keep it constant?
